Multi-date Dayparting Scheduling Feature
The Netsertive advertising platform already offers repeating dayparting scheduling by week, but week-to-week changes require manual adjustments to live campaigns. This new feature gives our clients and campaign managers the ability to completely customize their dayparting campaigns weeks or months in advance, saving them time and energy.
Because some campaigns run for months, with dozens of unique advertisements, information architecture and overall cognitive load was considered very carefully to give all the necessary information without overwhelming users. I had the individual date dayparting information collapse when the user is working on another day and tucked calendars away into popout boxes to keep the screen as clear as possible.
As the sole designer on this project, my role was to research the current internal scheduling process, as well as other industry scheduling processes, interview campaign managers (the primary users), design the user experience from initial user journey to final user interface for this feature, and present each step to the product team for feedback.
After a few rounds of review, we had a prototype that everyone was happy with. The feature was designed in Adobe XD following the existing Netsertive platform style guide, so it could be handed off and seamlessly added into the platform by the product development team.
